BACKGROUND

DLSU-D 95.9 Green FM, also known as Green FM or La Salle Radio, is the official campus radio station of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas, operating on 95.9 MHz FM with a 10-20 watt transmitter reaching a three-kilometer radius.

Established in August 2005 with the call letters DWSU assigned by the NTC, the station began under the Communication Arts Department (now Communication and Journalism Department) led by Chair Ms. Rosanni Recreo Sarile.

Initially supervised by Professor Maria Aurora Quadra-Balibay from 2007 to 2019, the role of station manager was passed to Mr. Artin Umali, who continues in this role today.

In 2016, Green FM launched the award-winning Animo Channel TV Project to broadcast television versions of its radio shows, accessible through COAC partners in Cavite and Region 4-A. By 2019, Green FM expanded its Blocktimer Program, allowing various Lasallian community members to participate, supporting the station’s growth.

The 2020 pandemic forced Green FM to shift from airwaves to digital platforms, launching DLSU-D Green FM Podcasts on Facebook, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. As Green FM enters a new academic year, it aims to revive traditional programming while embracing digital trends and enhancing its content with robust blocktimer collaborations from De La Salle University–Dasmariñas organizations and communities.

Mission: DLSU-D Green FM aims to empower the Lasallian community through providing inclusive, highly essential, and socially sustainable campus-oriented radio programs.

Vision: DLSU-D Green FM visualizes an empowered Lasallian community, guided by the Lasallian core values and unified by the lasting power of broadcasting as it continues to become a forefront of truth and empowerment not just in the University, but also on the neighboring communities.
